Bhubaneswar: The Low Pressure Area over northwest Bay of Bengal & adjoining West Bengal-north Odisha coasts and the associated cyclonic circulation extending up to 7.6 km above mean sea level tilting southwestwards with height persists. It is likely to move northwestwards across Jharkhand during the next 2 days, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Wednesday in its mid-day bulletin.
The Monsoon Trough at mean sea level now passes through Jaisalmer, Udaipur, Ratlam, Siddhi, Ranchi, Digha, the centre of Low Pressure Area over northwest Bay of Bengal & adjoining West Bengal-north Odisha coasts and thence southeastwards to East central Bay of Bengal, the IMD bulletin added.
Under the impact of the system light to moderate rain/thundershower is very likely to occur at most places over the districts of Odisha with intense spells at places during the next five days.
