Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted rainfall in Odisha on February 19 and 20. The state’s coastal areas, including Mayurbhanj, are likely to experience light to moderate rainfall.
As per the prediction, apart from coastal areas of the state including Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj districts are likely to witness light to moderate rainfall on February 20.
According to the IMD, the night temperature is expected to rise by 2-3 degrees Celsius over the next three days.
On Friday, Angul recorded the highest day temperature of 34.7 degrees Celsius. Khordha recorded 34.5 degrees Celsius, Jharsuguda 34.2 degrees Celsius, Boudh 33.5 degrees Celsius, and Bhawanipatna and Nayagarh 33 degrees Celsius.
On the other hand, Rourkela recorded the lowest night temperature of 9.8 degrees Celsius. Jharsuguda recorded 10.2 degrees Celsius, Phulbani 12.5 degrees Celsius, Sundargarh 12.6 degrees Celsius, and Keonjhar 13.8 degrees Celsius.
