Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heatwave conditions and hot and humid weather in several districts of Odisha for March 30 and 31.
For March 30, the IMD has predicted heatwave conditions in one or two places over the districts of Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Sonepur, Boudh, Balangir, Kalahandi, Angul and Dhenkanal.
According to IMD prediction, hot and humid conditions are likely to prevail in one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur and Puri on March 30.
For March 31, the IMD has issued a yellow warning, predicting heatwave conditions in one or two places over the districts of Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Sonepur, Boudh, Balangir, and Angul.
Going by the IMD forecast, hot and humid conditions are likely to prevail in one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, and Gajapati on March 31.
The IMD has advised people to take necessary precautions to avoid heat-related illnesses.
