IMD Warns Of Heavy Rain In 12 Odisha Dists Within Next 3 Hrs

Bhubaneswar: Moderate rain/thundershower with one or two spells of intense/heavy rain is very likely to affect some parts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Ganjam, Gajapati, Nayagarh, Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Boudh, Kandhamal, Bolangir and Kalahandi within the next three hours, according to a nowcast warning issued by the regional centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) at 7.30 PM today.

The weather agency has issued an ‘Orange’ warning for the above-mentioned districts.

The agency has said that water logging in low-lying areas, occasionally poor visibility and traffic disruption in urban areas is likely. It has advised people to keep a watch on the weather and act accordingly.

People have been further advised to avoid movement in affected areas and make arrangements for drainage of excess water.
