Light to moderate rain or thundershowers are expected at most places in the state over the next 48 hours, with specific warnings for heavy rain and thunderstorms in several districts.

The IMD predicts light to moderate rain or thundershowers at most places across Odisha. In Bhubaneswar and its surrounding areas, a generally cloudy sky with one or two spells of rain or thunderstorms is expected. The maximum temperature is likely to hover around 33°C, with a minimum of 26°C.

Heavy Rain and Thunderstorms: Isolated areas in Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Boudh, Sonepur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Bolangir, and Bargarh may experience heavy rain, thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds reaching 30-40 kmph.
Thunderstorms with Lightning: Similar conditions are expected at one or two places in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, and Mayurbhanj.
