Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rainfall in 14 Odisha districts during the next 24 hours with very heavy rainfall in four districts.
Heavy Rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Nawarangapur, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nuapada, Bolangir, Sonepur, Sambalpur, Angul, Nayagarh, Boudh, Puri, Khurda, while Heavy to very heavy Rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Gajapati, Ganjam during the next 24 hours, the IMD has said.
Besides, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at most places over the districts of South Odisha and at many places over the districts of North Odisha during the aforementioned period.
The cyclonic circulation over Northwest & adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas of north Andhra Pradesh-south Odisha coasts extending up to 7.6 km above mean sea level tilting southwards with height persists. Under its influence, a low pressure area is likely to form over Northwest & adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal during next 24 hours.
Under the impact of the aforementioned developing system, the State is likely to rain during the next five days with heavy spells at places.

Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at most places over the districts South Odisha, North Interior Odisha and at many places over the districts of North Coastal Odisha.
ORANGE WARNING(BE PREPARED): Heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nawarangapur, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal.
YELLOW WARNING:-(BE UPDATED) Heavy Rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, Cuttack, Boudh, Sonepur, Bolangir, Bargarh.
