Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Thursday warned that thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara in the next 24 hours.
It also predicted that light to moderate rain or thunderstorm is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of North Coastal Odisha, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal, Sundargarh, Rayagada, and Gajapati during the same period.
Meanwhile, Southwest Monsoon has further advanced into some parts of northwest Bay of Bengal, some more parts of northeast& eastcentral Bay of Bengal, and most parts of Mizoram, Manipur & Nagaland.
Conditions are favourable for further advance of Southwest monsoon into some more parts of Central & North Bay of Bengal, remaining parts of northeastern states, and some parts of Sub Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim during the next 2 days.
