IMD Warns Of Thunderstorms In Four Odisha Districts In Next Three Hours

Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for four districts in Odisha, warning of a moderate thunderstorm accompanied by strong winds and lightning.

The districts under alert are Nuapada, Balangir, Kalahandi, and Bargarh.

According to the IMD, the thunderstorm is expected to hit these areas within the next three hours, bringing wind speeds of 40-50 kmph and light to moderate rain.

The regional weather office has cautioned that the storm may cause minor damage to loose structures, banana trees, and standing crops. Residents are advised to be vigilant and take necessary precautions.
