Bhubaneswar: The senior officials of Energy Efficiency Service (EESL) gave a presentation on the upcoming steps for energy conservation in a meeting held under the chairmanship of Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Empowerment and Energy, Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo at Kharavela Bhawan today.
It was discussed to work in collaboration with the Government of Odisha to provide low power consumption appliances to consumers at affordable prices. Schemes like Urjaveer, GovEasEE were discussed in detail and a short film was screened.
In the meeting, it was discussed to replace the old fans in government offices with energy- efficient fans and electrical appliances. Deputy Chief Minister Singh Deo directed the officers of the department to thoroughly examine the schemes and take further steps for their early implementation.
The meeting was attended by Principal Secretary, Energy Department Vishal Dev, EIC Pyarimohan Mishra and senior officials of EESL.
