Bhubaneswar: State Vigilance Academy (SVA), Bhubaneswar, a premier Anti-Corruption Training Academy, the first of its kind for any State throughout the country, has been awarded with further ISO Certification 9001:2015 for the 3rd time for three years i.e. from 30th December 2025 to 29th December 2028.
Based on the quality of training on anti-corruption laws and infrastructure, the Academy has received the prestigious certification.
Achieving ISO Certification reflects the collective efforts, dedication, and professionalism of the officers, faculty members, and staff of the Academy. It also underscores the Academy’s resolve to institutionalise quality, accountability, and continuous improvement in all its activities.
This achievement is expected to further strengthen public confidence in the State Vigilance Academy and reinforce its position as a premier anti-corruption training institution in India.
The Academy has been functioning from 20th November, 2018 and conducting training for All India/ State Civil Service Cadre officers from IAS, IPS, IFS, OAS, OPS, OFS, OFoS, OT & AS, 0SPS, ORS, OWS, OCS and OES rank etc. In the year 2025, 949 number of trainees from various cadres of All India Services & State Services i.e. IAS, IPS, OAS, OPS, OFS, CVO, OT&AS, ALO, ORS, Electrical, PPs & APPs, Drugs Inspectors, AEEs, Asst. Fisheries Officers as well as officers of Vigilance were trained on Anti-Corruption Laws, Preventive Vigilance, good governance and Artificial Intelligence.
Going forward, Odisha Vigilance aims to strengthen the State Vigilance Academy as a repository of knowledge in the field of anti-corruption, transparency and good governance. The goal is to turn SVA into a platform for niche research and to disseminate evidence-based knowledge and solutions to institutions to strengthen their preventive vigilance structures and prevent leakages as well as address corruption in the field of governance.
