Bhubaneswar: The Instagram account of the Higher Education Department was hacked for a brief period this morning.
According to department sources, some posts unrelated to the department’s activities were uploaded during this time. Upon noticing the hack, immediate action was taken to retrieve the account, and the unauthorised posts have been removed.
The department has taken the incident seriously and has decided to file an FIR in this connection. Efforts are also being made to ensure the security of the account and prevent such incidents in the future.
Meanwhile, the Higher Education Department apologised for any inconvenience caused due to hacking and assured that all necessary measures are being taken to restore the account’s integrity.
