Bhubaneswar: Moderate rain, thundershower with lightning and one or two spells of intense to heavy rain are very likely to affect some parts of Sambalpur, Sundargarh, Bargarh and Malkangiri within the next three hours, forecasted a nowcast bulletin of IMD.
An ‘Orange Alert’ has been issued for the aforementioned districts citing extremely bad weather conditions.
The local weather office has alerted people residing in the low-lying regions about water logging, occasionally poor visibility and likely traffic disruption in the urban areas.
The regional office of IMD has advised people to avoid movement in the affected area, make arrangements for excess water drainage and be vigilant about changing weather to protect themselves from lightning strikes.
