IPL Betting Racket Busted In Berhampur, Five Held

Bhubaneswar: Berhampur police claimed to have cracked down on an online betting racket linked to the Indian Premier League (IPL) with the arrest of five persons allegedly involved in the operation.

Acting on specific intelligence, the police apprehended the accused from various locations in Berhampur.

Meanwhile, police have asked the relevant banks to freeze the accused’s accounts. During the operation, the police seized several mobile phones, two-wheelers, and Rs 70,000 from the suspects.

Police investigation is underway to identify the others involved in the racket.
