Bhubaneswar: The Indian Roads Congress (IRC) exhibition in Bhubaneswar will open to the general public tomorrow (November 10), Works Minister Prithiviraj Harichandan said on Sunday.
Visitors will be able to explore a wide range of road engineering technologies and construction models from 2 pm tomorrow until the forenoon of November 11. The exhibition aims to provide the public with insights into the latest developments in road construction and infrastructure.
“The public will witness the construction models and technologies on display. The technical knowledge available through these exhibits will help us when such technologies are implemented in Odisha in the future. Keeping this in mind, we have decided to keep the exhibition open for public viewing on the afternoon of November 10 and the forenoon of November 11,” the Works Minister said.
The ongoing 84th session of the Indian Roads Congress, which began on November 7 at Janata Maidan, Bhubaneswar, has brought together more than 3,500 engineers, technocrats, and researchers from across the country.
The national event was inaugurated by Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari, who emphasized the importance of sustainable road development and innovation in infrastructure.
The four-day event is particularly significant as Odisha is hosting the IRC after several years.
The exhibition showcases cutting-edge technologies, construction models, and new research in road design, safety, and materials, offering the public a rare opportunity to see India’s evolving road infrastructure firsthand.
