Bhubaneswar: Amidst the controversy surrounding Ollywood actors Babushaan Mohanty and Prakruti Mishra, the former, who had gone to Chennai for the promotion of his film ‘Daman’, has not returned to Odisha.
The entire production team of the movie reached Bhubaneswar on Monday night but Babushaan was not accompanying them. As per the team, he had left the hotel room in Chennai on July 24. The team also informed that they have no idea about Babushan’s whereabouts.
The director of the film ‘Daman’ said Babushaan was very disturbed that day due to the incident that happened in Bhubaneswar. He was not even in a position to go on stage, so he was asked by the producer of the film to not attend the event. Babushaan had also mentioned it in a video.
According to the director, by the time the production team went near Babushaan after the promotion of the film, he was no longer in the hotel. On asking at the reception, the hotel staff said that he had checked out and left.
However, Babushaan’s team refuted the comments made by the ‘Daman’ production team. According to Babushaan’s team, the actor was fully prepared for the promotion of the movie. But the producer asked him to go back. He also tried to pry into the personal affairs of the actor.
Babushaan was also asked to stay away from the film ‘Daman’ and planned to release the movie in the absence of the actor. It was an insult for Babushaan and his team and caused a psychological injury.
