Bhubaneswar: A wild jackal has created panic at Polsora block in Ganjam district. The jackal attacked 15 people, including 7 women, at Hatioata, Jemadipur, and Pranapuradeipura villages under Polasara police limits.
According to reports, the jackal reportedly attacked villagers when they were on their way to their farmlands this morning. Fearing the jackal attacks, villagers are fearing to venture out of their homes. The injured are undergoing treatment at Polasara Community Health Center.
Meanwhile, a team from the Forest Department has reached the village and is trying to capture the animal.
