Bhubaneswar: The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) on Monday announced that the inventorisation of jewellery and valuables inside the Ratna Bhandara of the Jagannath Temple in Puri will resume from May 19, 2026.
The exercise will be conducted as per the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) approved by the State Government and will continue on select dates, including May 21, 23, 26, 28, 29 and 30.
According to the SJTA, the inventory work will be taken up after the completion of the ‘Madhyahna Dhupa’ rituals each day. The administration has ensured that all regular rituals of the deities will continue without interruption during the process.
In view of security considerations, darshan for devotees will be allowed only from the “Bahara Katha” during the inventory period. Necessary arrangements have also been made to ensure smooth darshan and crowd management.
SJTA Chief Administrator Dr. Arabinda Kumar Padhee has sought cooperation from all sevaks, officials involved in the process, devotees, and the general public. The administration has also expressed hope that the process will be conducted smoothly with collective support.
