Bhubaneswar: With Prime Minister Narendra Modi scheduled to visit Jharsuguda on September 27, the district is abuzz with activity as officials rush to finalise preparations for the grand public meeting at Amlipali Ground in Jharsuguda.
Revenue & Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari, Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja, and Director of State Forensic Science Laboratory (SFSL) Santosh Bala arrived in Jharsuguda on Wednesday via a special flight. The senior officials conducted a thorough inspection of the proposed venue and reviewed arrangements to ensure a smooth and successful event.
Accompanied by key officials including Revenue Divisional Commissioner Sachin Ramchandra Jadhav, I.G of Police NR Himansu Kumar Lal, Jharsuguda Collector Chavan Kunal Motiram, SP Gundala Reddy Raghavendra, and Higher Education Department Commissioner-cum-Secretary Aravind Agrawal, the team discussed various logistical aspects such as the Prime Minister’s route, parking facilities, and crowd management.
Addressing the media, Minister Suresh Pujari confirmed that PM Modi will land at Jharsuguda Airport at 11 am on September 27 and proceed directly to Amlipali Ground. The event is expected to last around one hour, during which the Prime Minister will inaugurate and lay foundation stones for several development projects.
The officials emphasised that the administration has been instructed to maintain high vigilance and ensure no inconvenience to the public during the event. Comprehensive reviews are underway to guarantee flawless execution, focusing on security, traffic management, and public amenities.
