Mayurbhanj: Bishwanath Murmu, a Junior Engineer at Rairangpur Rural Development Construction in of Tiring block, succumbed to injuries sustained during a wild bee attack in front of the government colony in Mayurbhanj’s Rairangpur.
According to reports, Bishwanath left the divisional rest room in Rairangpur at around 8:45 am on Sunday to go to his work place in Tiring. Suddenly, a swarm of wild been that had nested in a blackberry tree in front of the house attacked him.
The stings of the bees were so toxic that he vomited and fell on the ground unconscious. Locals rushed him to Rairangpur sub-district hospital and he breathed his last at 10.00 am while undergoing treatment.
Activists of Rairangpur Diploma Engineer Association have expressed grief over his death. The police informed that the body will be sent for autopsy after the arrival of the deceased’s family members.
