Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance sleuths on Friday launched simultaneous searches at the properties linked to Pradeep Kumar Das, Junior Assistant at the Balasore District Education Office, following allegations that he amassed properties disproportionate to his known income.
According to a press communiqué issued by Odisha Vigilance today, the house searches are being conducted by two Additional SPs, four DSPs, seven Inspectors, five ASIs, and other supporting staff on the strength of search warrants issued by the Special Judge, Vigilance, Balasore at the following six places in Balasore district:
- A triple-storeyed residential building located at Angargadia, Balasore.
- Das’ paternal house at Bhuinpada, Khantapada, Balasore.
- A market complex owned by Das at Madhagada, Sergarh, Balasore.
- A house of his relative located at Kahalia, Nilagiri, Balasore.
- House of his another relative at Bhuinpada, Khantapada, Balasore.
- The office room of Das located at the Collectorate Campus in Balasore.
The searches are in progress and a detailed report is awaited.
