Kanwariya Swept Away In Chitroptala River While Fetching Water For Lord Shiva

Bhubaneswar: A Kanwariya went missing after being swept away in the Chitroptala River while fetching water for Lord Shiva’s Jalabhishek to mark the last Monday of Shravan month.

The deceased has been identified as Abrutt Kumar Kar (25), son of Rabindra Kar from Kasipur village under Salipur police limits.

According to reports, Abrutt reportedly slipped and fell into the Chitroptala River while fetching water from the Chitroptala River near Bateswar village. Despite efforts by locals and the Salipur fire brigade team, who launched a search operation, Abrutt’s body has not been found yet.

Till the last report came in, the fire brigade officials were working to locate Abrutt’s body.
