Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a nowcast warning predicting light to moderate rain accompanied by lightning and thunderstorm at one or two places over five districts in next three hours.
The warning was issued at 2 pm on Wednesday. Residents in the affected districts including Kandhamal, Khordha, Kataka, Koraput and Nayagarh districts during the next three hours have been advised to keep a close watch on weather conditions and take necessary precautions for their safety.
IMD has urged residents to avoid open areas and take shelter indoors during lightning and thunderstorm activity.
