Berhampur: Yet another incident of ragging of a junior girl student by senior boy students of a higher secondary school has surfaced in the city.
A +2 1st year girl student of Khallikote Higher Secondary School here today lodged a written complaint with the School’s principal alleging ragging by +2 2nd year boy students.
The complainant has alleged that girl students are being humiliated by anti-social elements.
” Today I received a written complaint from a student regarding ragging. She has alleged that she has been subjected to ragging. She has alleged that some 2nd-year students are not allowing her to study in the class by creating disturbances,” informed Principal, Khallikote Higher Secondary School Radhakant Nayak.
Nayak said that there is an Anti-Ragging Committee in the school and he has forwarded the complaint to the committee for conducting the necessary inquiry into the matter.
Action will be taken as per the recommendation of the Committee, he added.
