Bhubaneswar: Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge held both BJD and BJP responsible for Odisha’s backwardness.

Addressing a presser here on Thursday, Kharge blamed both BJP and BJD for ruining the State and bringing miseries for the people.

Quoting the recent International Labour Organisation (ILO) report, the Congress president stated that Odisha has a 41% unemployment rate.

He said the state is known for unemployment, availability of low-cost labour and inflation.

Kharge claimed that Congress will emerge once again in Odisha after 24 years as people have now understood that both BJP and BJD have ruined the state.

He said the I.N.D.I.A bloc is trying to save democracy and the Constitution and wants to keep India united.

He recounted the achievements of the Congress in UPA I and II including enactments of the Food Security Act, Right to Education and implementation of MNREGA, and reminded about BJP’s false promise of Rs 15 lakh in everyone’s account.
