Bhubaneswar: Khordha Assistant Collector Ashwini Nayak sustained severe injuries after the car he was traveling in collided with a truck near Mulapal in Jajpur district on Tuesday. The accident occurred while he was en route from Bhubaneswar to Balasore.
According to reports, the impact of the crash left Nayak with fractures in his leg and arm, along with a serious head injury. The car driver also suffered minor injuries in the incident.
Locals immediately rushed Nayak to the Community Health Centre (CHC) in Dharmasala for initial treatment. Given his critical condition, he was later referred to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack for further medical care.
