Puri: Fire Services personnel and Life Guards rescued Babu Swain, a youth from the Banpur area of Patna Sahi in Odisha’s Khurda district when he was drowning in the sea off the Puri beach on Monday morning.
According to reports, Babu had gone for a swim in Sector 1 of Puri Beach. Slowly he drifted away into the deep waters and was drowning. Sensing trouble, onlookers raised an alarm. Fire Services personnel and Life Guards at the beach acted promptly and rescued him from drowning.
After being rescued, Babu was given first-aid treatment.
