Bhubaneswar: A young woman was allegedly kidnapped by three miscreants from a private hostel here at Nayapalli today afternoon. Police intervened and the kidnapping bid was foiled. A PCR van intercepted the vehicle in which the girl was being taken away and she was rescued.
While the accused trio has been detained, one among them is the victim’s maternal uncle, reports stated. For what reason she was being abducted is yet to be ascertained. Nayapali police have registered a case on the basis of the victim’s complaint and investigating further.
