Bhubaneswar: A law student fell to his death from the 8th floor of a high-rise building in Kharvel Nagar in Odisha’s capital in Bhubaneswar on Sunday evening.
The deceased has been identified as Aniraj Manda Tudu (23), a law student staying in a university hostel in Cuttack. According to reports, Tudu used to live in Chandrama Apartment in Kharvel Nagar with his parents who later shifted to Ganga Nagar.
However, it is not clear why Tudu went to Chandrama Apartment on Sunday and what he was doing on the eighth floor of the apartment building.
What has deepened the mystery is that two unidentified youths reportedly went to the apartment in search of Tudu on Sunday.
On being informed about the incident, Kharvel Nagar police reached the spot and launched an investigation by registering an unnatural death case.
The police are probing the case from various angles like why Tudu went to the apartment and did he fall off himself or someone pushed him. The police are reportedly examining the CCTV footage of the apartment.
