Bhubaneswar: Amidst dense fog and cold, several places in Odisha are likely to receive light showers on Wednesday.
According to the regional center of the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) in Bhubaneswar, light rain or thundershower is very likely to continue over some parts of Puri districts during the next two hours.
Besides Puri, the IMD has forecast light rain in several places in the state on January 17 and 18. Bargarh, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Keonjhar, Sambalpur, Deogarh, and Mayurbhanj may experience light showers on January 17, while light rain is likely in some places in Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Deogarh, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Balasore, and Bhadrak on January 18.
Meanwhile, dense fog occurred in Cuttack, Nayagarh, Bolangir, and Daringbadi today morning. Shallow to moderate fog was experienced in Bhawanipatna and Baripada. Shallow to moderate fog may occur across the state during next the two days.
