Bhubaneswar: The Cyclone likely to form over the Bay of Bengal (BoB) will have no direct impact over Odisha, the India Meteorological Department (IMD’s) Meteorological Centre here said in a tweet.
Earlier in the day, the IMD had said that a Low Pressure Area has formed over the south Andaman Sea and neighborhood under the influence of a cyclonic circulation over the south Andaman Sea & adjoining equatorial Indian ocean Strait of Malacca.
It is likely to move West-NorthWestwards and concentrate into a Depression over the South East Bay of Bengal by the evening of December 6.
Thereafter, it is likely to continue to move West-NorthWestwards, intensify further gradually into a Cyclonic Storm and reach South West Bay of Bengal near north Tamil Nadu-Puducherry & adjoining south Andhra Pradesh coasts by the morning of December 8.
