Bhadrak: In a shocking discovery, a routine inspection by the Drug Inspector team at Shree Ganesh Medicine Store on Bypass Road in Bhadrak led to the recovery of liquor-loaded cartons. The team found foreign liquor bottles hidden in the store, which prompted them to inform the local police.

Upon investigation, it was revealed that the medicine store’s drug license had expired in 2022. The store has been sealed, and the police have taken custody of the contraband items.

According to the Drug Inspector, the inspection was part of their routine checks, and they are awaiting further instructions from their higher authorities. The police are now conducting an inquiry into the matter.

“It was our routine inspection. Our inspection is underway now. During the check, we found some liquor bottles. We have informed the local police for action. We have examined the drug license. Liquor-related part is not in our business. Police will take action. After the inspection, we will prepare a report and submit it to our higher authorities,” the Drug Inspector said.

The incident has raised concerns about the store’s activities and the misuse of its license. Further action is expected to be taken by the authorities.
