Bhubaneswar: The cyclonic circulation over the North Andaman Sea now lies over North Andaman Sea and adjoining areas of east-central & southeast Bay of Bengal at 5.30 pm on Sunday. Under its influence, a low-pressure area is very likely to form over the east-central Bay of Bengal and adjoining north Andaman Sea during the next 12 hours, the regional center of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Sunday evening.
It is very likely to move west-northwestwards and intensify into a depression by October 22 morning and into a cyclonic storm by October 23 over the eastcentral Bay of Bengal. Thereafter, it is very likely to move northwestwards and reach northwest Bay of Bengal off Odisha-West Bengal coasts by October 24 morning.
