Bhubaneswar: The low-pressure area formed over the southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining Andaman and Nicobar Islands under the influence of Monday’s upper air cyclonic circulation persisted over the same region on Tuesday. The low-pressure is likely to move west-northwestwards and intensify into a depression over the west-central Bay of Bengal on November 15 and, subsequently; it would move northwestwards and may intensify into a deep depression over the west-central Bay of Bengal off the Andhra Pradesh coast on November 16. Subsequently, it would recurve north-northeastwards and reach the northwest Bay of Bengal off the Odisha coast on November 17, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said in its midday bulletin on Tuesday.

Light to moderate rain/ thundershower is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Khurdha, Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Malkangiri, Kendrapada, Bhadrak, Nayagarh, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, and Cuttack. Dry weather is very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.
Day 3: (Valid from 0830 Hrs IST of 16.09.2023 to 0830 Hrs IST of 17.09.2023)
Light to moderate rain/ thundershower is very likely to occur in most places over the districts of Ganjam, Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada, Bhadrak, Cuttack, Khurdha, Nayagarh, at many places over the districts of Balasore, Gajapati, Dhenkanal, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Jajapur, at a few places over the districts of Angul, Boudh, Kandhamal, Kalahandi and at one or two places over the rest districts of Odisha.

Light to moderate rain/ thundershower is very likely to occur in most places over the districts of Balasore, Badhrak, Mayurbhanj, Jajpur, at many places over the districts of Kendrapada, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Jagatsighpur, Cuttack, Khurdha, Puri, at a few places over the districts of Angul, Sundargarh, Deogarh, at one or two places over the districts of Jagatsinghpur, Sambalpur, Ganjam, Boudh, and Kandhamal. Dry weather is very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.
Day 5: (Valid from 0830 Hrs IST of 18.09.2023 to 0830 Hrs IST of 19.09.2023)
Light to moderate rain/ thundershower is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapada, Jajpur, and Keonjhar & dry weather is very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.
