Bhubaneswar: The Holy Trinity reached the Adapa Mandapa at Gundicha Temple on Saturday night after the arrival of the three chariots at Sharadha Bali on Friday.
The ceremonial procession was held as part of the Goti Pahandi ritual. Following all the rituals on Saturday, the Adapa Bije Niti began after 7 pm on Saturday.
At that time, Sharadha Bali echoed with the sound of hulhuli, bells and chants of “Jai Jagannath”. The three deities entered the Adapa Mandapa through Goti Pahandi in a grand procession.
The first Adapa Abadha, the Prasad at Gundicha Temple, will be available for devotees from today.
Devotees started thronging the Puri Gundicha Temple from 8:30 AM today for Sahana Mela darshan of Lord Jagannath and His siblings.
According to temple rituals, after the auspicious Alati of Mahaprabhu on the three chariots on Saturday morning, other daily rituals including Mailam, Tadap Lagi, Abakash, Besha Shodha, Gopalballav, Sakala Dhupa and Madhyana Dhupa were completed.
In the afternoon, after Sandhya Dhupa and Sandhya Alati, Lord Madan Mohan was taken in Pahandi. Then Chakraraj Sudarshan went in Goti Pahandi. Later, Lord Balabhadra entered the temple in Pahandi Bije, followed by Devi Subhadra. Finally, Lord Jagannath, adorned with a beautiful Tahia, arrived in Pahandi.
The atmosphere was filled with the sound of bells and music. Through the Nakachana Dwara, Mahaprabhu entered the temple.
Temple administration has made elaborate arrangements for the smooth darshan of lakhs of devotees who have gathered at Gundicha Temple for the 9-day stay of the Lords.
