Lovebirds Allegedly End Their Lives

Bhubaneswar: In a heartbreaking incident, a young couple allegedly ended their lives by hanging under Banki police limits in Cuttack district on Tuesday.

The deceased have been identified as Ranjan Sethi, a resident of Kurumchaini village under Anuari Panchayat and Kalyani Majhi, a resident of Baigeni village.

According to reports, Ranjan and Kalyani were in a relationship. It is alleged that both took the drastic step in their respective homes. Family members discovered them and rushed them to the Sub-Divisional Hospital in Banki, where doctors declared them dead on arrival.

Upon receiving information, Banki police arrived at the scene and sent the bodies for post-mortem. The police are awaiting the autopsy reports and have launched an investigation to uncover the circumstances leading to the tragic incident.
