Bhubaneswar: A low-pressure area has formed over the north Bay of Bengal, as well as adjacent coastal regions of Bangladesh and Gangetic West Bengal as of Friday, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
Going by the weather update, a cyclonic circulation extends up to 7.6 km above mean sea level, tilting southwestwards with height, is expected to move west-northwestwards across Gangetic West Bengal and Jharkhand over the next two days.
However, the weather office has not yet made any forecasts regarding the potential impact of the low-pressure system on Odisha.
