Bhubaneswar: A cyclonic circulation over East central Bay of Bengal adjoining Myanmar Coast between 3.1 km & 7.6 km above mean sea level, is tilting southwestwards with height, the Indian Meteorological Department stated.
The Met Department, in its afternoon bulletin on Monday, further informed that under the influence of the aforementioned system, a low pressure area is likely to form over Northwest Bay of Bengal during next 72 hours.
Current meteorological features indicate that fairly widespread to widespread light to moderate rainfall activity with isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely over Odisha during next five days, the IMD stated.
Also thunderstorms with lightning activity very likely during next two days and it is advised to take safe shelter during thunderstorm activity to protect from lightning.
