Bhubaneswar: A cyclonic circulation likely to form over North Bay of Bengal around 3rd September and under its influence, a
low pressure area is likely to form during subsequent 48 hours, i.e. 5th September, the IMD informed on Saturday.
This apart, the cyclonic circulation over Northeast Bay of Bengal & neighbourhood extending upto 4.5 km above mean sea
level tilting south-westwards with height persists, the IMD bulletin stated.
On the other hand, the Met Department has issued a yellow warning for Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Angul, Dhenkanal, Sambalpur, Sonepur, Boudh, Bolangir, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, and Nawarangpur districts with a forecast of thunderstorm with lightning.
Similarly, heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Jajpur, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Nayagarh, Boudh, Kalahandi, and Kandhamal districts.
Rainfall will continue across different places of the State till September 7.
