Maa Manikeswari University VC Prof Sanjay Satpathy Passes Away

Bhubaneswar: The Vice-Chancellor of Maa Manikeswari University in Kalahandi, Prof. Sanjay Satpathy, passed away after a prolonged illness.

He breathed his last in the early hours of Wednesday at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar. This was informed by the VC-in-charge, Nibedita Nath. He was diagnosed with cancer in April this year and had been undergoing treatment since then.

He also suffered a stroke two months ago, following which Nibedita Nath was assigned as the VC-in-charge of the varsity. Prof. Satpathy was a writer, poet, actor, and good speaker.

He had appeared in various characters on the television screen. After his demise, a team of faculty members, led by VC-in-charge Nibedita Rath, arrived in Bhubaneswar to pay their last respects to the departed soul. His family members will decide the place of his cremation.
