Jajpur: A domestic quarrel turned fatal in Haranatikiri village under Byree police station limits of Jajpur district, where a man allegedly killed his wife during a heated altercation.
The accused, identified as Suresh Mallick, reportedly attacked his wife Pinki Mallick with a pipe on Thursday, following a family dispute.
Police sources said the couple often quarreled, and the argument on Thursday escalated into violence. Pinki succumbed to her injuries on the spot.
On being informed, Byree police, along with a scientific team, rushed to the site and launched an investigation.
The accused husband has been arrested and is currently in police custody.
