Bhubaneswar: A gruesome murder has shocked the village of Beniaposhi under Mahulpali police limits in Kuchinda sub-division of Sambalpur district, where 31-year-old Radha Kisan was allegedly bludgeoned to death by her husband on Monday.
Police have arrested the accused, Gunanidhi Kisan (33), and sent Radha’s body to Kuchinda Sub-Divisional Hospital for autopsy.
Preliminary investigations reveal the victim was beaten with a bamboo stick and attacked with an axe following a domestic dispute.
According to reports, the couple—married for several years—faced constant strife due to Gunanidhi’s alcohol addiction and frequent quarrels. Locals discovered Radha’s blood-soaked body in their home and alerted authorities.
A police scientific team examined the crime scene, while Radha’s brother, Mangalu Kisan, filed a formal complaint at Mahulpali police station. Gunanidhi will be produced in court tomorrow as the probe continues.
