Sambalpur: In a shocking incident, a man allegedly killed his father over a trivial issue at Ghenupali Saharapada under Sadar police limits in Sambalpur district on Tuesday.
The deceased, identified as Lingaraj Kumura had a fight with his son Aditya over some minor family issues
Following the feud, Aditya got irked and attacked his father with a stick leaving him seriously injured late last night. Even after the attack, he tried to burn his father alive.
After getting information from the locals, Sadar Police reached the village and took the injured Lingaraj to a nearby health centre where doctors declared him dead.
The accused son fled the spot immediately after committing the crime.
Later, police arrested him after registering a case in this connection.
