Man Critical In Mob Attack In Balasore

Balasore: A man was seriously injured after his brother-in-law and seven others hacked his hand with a ‘Bhujali’ near Shirapur Chhack under Soro Police Station.

According to reports, Deepak Jena (23) of Shirapur village under Soro Police Station was attacked by eight youths including his brother-in-law on three bikes while he was standing near Hanuman Chack on Wednesday evening.

He sustained injuries on his hands, head and various parts of his body. The locals rescued him and took him to Soro Community Health Centre, where he was shifted to Balasore District Headquarters Hospital as his condition was critical.

However, it is learnt that his son Saroj Jena (25) of Ankabrahampur village along with his friends had committed such a crime due to family disputes.
