Man Detained At BPIA With Rs 2.5 Lakh Unaccounted Cash

Bhubaneswar: Police detained a man and seized unaccounted cash of Rs 2.5 lakh at the Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) in Bhubaneswar on Thursday evening.

According to Airport police station IIC, Tusharkant Sethi, the accused has been identified as Sachin Parikh, a native of Jharsuguda in Odisha. He arrived in Bhubaneswar on a flight Wednesday night. Sachin works as a construction builder in Jharsuguda.

The incident came to light after security officials at the bag-check counter detected the cash in Sachin’s bag. During questioning, he was not able to give a satisfactory answer.

While the accused has been detained for interrogation, the police are yet to trace the trail of the money.
