Man Dies In Accident While Taking Son To Exam In Balangir

Bhubaneswar: A person died in a road accident while taking his son to an examination centre at Bangomunda under Kantabanji police station in Balangir district on Saturday. The son has been critically injured and admitted to the Kantabanji hospital.

The deceased has been identified as Prahallad Shah, a resident of Talajuri village. His son Samir Shah is battling with life at Kantabanji Hospital. The road mishap took place when Samir was going to appear for Plus II examination at Karangamal College.

According to reports, Samir was traveling with his father on a bike when the vehicle they were travelling in lost balance near a pole close to the new petrol pump at Bangomunda. The accident occurred in the morning hours, resulting in Prahlad’s death on the spot.

Upon receiving the news, police rushed to the scene and initiated an investigation into the incident to ascertain the exact cause of the accident.
