Bhadrak: An elderly man has won the hearts of people after he was seen parading his son Ajay as a punishment measure after he caught the latter getting married for the second time.
Bishnumohan Jena, a resident of Edtal village under Basudevpur police limits in Bhadrak district dragged his son Ajay by the collar from the courtroom to the police station when Ajay was about to tie the nuptial knot in court with another woman despite being married for 10 years and having an 8-year-old son, sources said.
Bishnumohan had gone to the local Community Health Center (CHC) along with his daughter-in-law and grandson when he came to know that Ajay getting married in court.
Leaving his daughter-in-law and grandson at home, Bishnumohan rushed to the court and was taken aback to see his son getting ready for a second marriage.
Instead of hiding the incident, Bishnumohan decided to hand over his son to the police. He dragged his son to the police station. The woman with whom, Ajay was allegedly about to get married accompanied him to the police station.
Police have detained Ajay for interrogation.
Meanwhile, Ajay’s wife accused him of torturing physically and mentally her.
Locals have highly appreciated Bishnumohan’s gesture of giving justice to his daughter-in-law.
