Berhampur: The Special POCSO Court here today sentenced one Krishna Pradhan of Dharakote area in Ganjam district to 20 years in jail for raping a minor girl.
The Court also slapped a fine of Rs 1 lakh on convict Pradhan.
Upon default to pay the fine Pradhan has to undergo imprisonment for another 10 months.
The incident took place on October 24 in 2019.
The Court ordered the District Legal Services Authority to provide finacial assistance of Rs 4.5 lakh to the victim.
