Kalahandi: A 50-year-old man was brutally murdered over a land dispute in Kumajor village under Jayapatna police limits in Kalahandi district.
The deceased has been identified as Sube Sabar.According to information, Sube Sabar and his wife Satya Sabar had gone to their agricultural field for work on Saturday morning. While returning home around 4 pm, they were allegedly attacked by two villagers, Jagannath Sabar and Deseram Sabar, due to previous enmity.
The assailants attacked Sube with sticks and sharp weapons. He sustained critical injuries in the assault. He was rushed to Jayapatna Community Health Centre in a 108 ambulance, where doctors declared him dead.
Following the incident, Jayapatna Police registered a case and launched an investigation. Police have arrested both accused, Jagannath and Deseram.
