Koraput: In a shocking incident, a man on Thursday hacked his younger brother to death with an axe at Bariniput over a family feud under Jeypore Sadar police limits.
The deceased has been identified as Jay Singh Khila (30). Police have detained the accused Narasingha Khila (34), elder brother of the deceased.
According to the police, siblings Narasingha and Jay Singh had a prolonged family dispute.
In a fit of rage, Narasingha attacked his younger brother Jay Singh with an axe. A critically wounded Jay Singh was rushed to the district headquarters hospital at Jeypore. However, he was declared dead by the attending doctors.
Following Jay Singh’s death Jeypore Sadar police have registered a murder case and have detained accused Narasingha for questioning.
