Bhubaneswar: In a horrific incident, a man was allegedly killed by his in-laws at their house on Thursday. The incident occurred in Chabiripali village under Khaprakhol police limits of Patnagarh in Odisha’s Bolangir district.
Rudra had married Sarojini Meher of Chabripali two years ago but as they had a family feud, Sarojini came to her father’s place and started residing there.
Rudra went to her in-laws’ house early this week to woo Sarojini to live with him. An argument ensued between him and his in-laws’ on Wednesday night. The matter turned ugly and his in-laws beat him to death.
The accused packed Rudra’s body in a sack and were taking it in a van for disposal when police intercepted the vehicle and seized the body.
The police sent the body for post-mortem and detained the accused for interrogation.
